Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.
• Strong organizational and time management skills for handling multiple shipments.
• Good communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and relevant databases.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and HS codes is desirable.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
• Problem-solving skills and professional client service approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs declarations and related documents for import/export shipments.
• Liaise with customs authorities, port operators, and agencies to ensure timely clearance.
• Review shipping documents, invoices, packing lists and bills of lading for accuracy.
• Classify cargo under HS codes and calculate duties/taxes.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade agreements and restrictions.
• Track shipments and provide updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Resolve documentation issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of all customs documents and shipment information.
• Coordinate cargo movement with freight forwarders, shipping lines and logistics partners.
• Adhere to company procedures and industry best practices.
