Job summary

HGH Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Lighting Operator to join its technical team and oversee lighting for weddings, corporate events, performances and other functions. You will operate and program lighting systems, create lighting cues, and ensure smooth execution with the event and AV teams.

Experience with GrandMA2 or Avolites Tiger Touch is advantageous; fresh graduates with relevant technical exposure are welcome.

Qualifications

Experience as Lighting Operator in events, concerts, hotels, convention centres or similar environments.
Experience with GrandMA2 or Avolites Tiger Touch is an advantage.
Able to programme lighting cues and lighting shows.

Responsibilities

Operate and programme lighting systems for events, functions and performances.
Maintain housekeeping and cable management, ensuring neat, safe wiring and equipment.
Keep the lighting control area and workspace clean and organized.
Apply creativity in lighting design and operation to enhance the event experience.
Prepare and execute lighting cues according to event requirements.
Conduct lighting checks and ensure all equipment functions properly before events.
Work closely with event, AV and operations teams for smooth execution.
Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting equipment when required.
Maintain and handle lighting equipment properly.
