Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott is seeking an AV Technician to install, operate, and maintain AV/projection/lighting systems for corporate events in Kuala Lumpur. You will oversee AV setup in banquet and meeting rooms, ensure equipment is fully operational, and troubleshoot issues to support a smooth guest experience.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of related work experience, with no supervisory requirements. High school diploma or GED is required; Marriott promotes equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot all AV/projection/lighting/conferencing equipment, devices, and systems.
• Oversee the set-up of AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms.
• Ensure all AV equipment is fully operational, repair or clean equipment when necessary.
• Label broken equipment and communicate problems to manager/supervisor.
• Tape down and dress all loose wire and cable.
• Check delivered equipment and room set-up against Banquet Event Order.
• Assist and instruct guests regarding proper usage and operation of AV equipment and monitor equipment operation.
• Break-down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use.
• Read, understand, and adhere to MVP SOP book.
