Job summary

V-Series International Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced lighting professional to develop lighting concepts, design layouts, and configure DMX-based control systems for events and installations.

You will program lighting shows, integrate effects with LED/AV systems, and assist with installation, testing, and handover at sites across Malaysia and abroad as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree / Certificate in Lighting Design, Stage Production, Electrical Engineering, AV Technology, Multimedia, Theatre Production or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in stage lighting, entertainment lighting, show production or AV integration.
• Strong knowledge of DMX512, Art-Net, sACN, lighting control networks and show programming.
• Experience with lighting control platforms such as grandMA2 / grandMA3, ChamSys, Avolites, ETC, Onyx or equivalent.
• Experience with moving heads, LED fixtures, strobes, blinders and entertainment lighting.
• Experience with special effects systems such as haze/fog, CO₂, cold spark, confetti, bubble, snow or similar will be an advantage.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings and lighting layouts.
• Basic networking knowledge is an advantage.
• Willing to travel, work on project sites and work after office hours, weekends or public holidays when required.
• Possess a valid driving licence.
• Comfortable working at height and in stage/event environments, subject to safety procedures.
• Good command of English. Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop lighting concepts, layouts and system designs based on project requirements.
• Select and specify suitable lighting fixtures, control equipment and special effects systems.
• Design and configure DMX, Art-Net and sACN lighting control systems.
• Program lighting consoles/software, including scenes, cues, chases, effects and timecode shows.
• Integrate lighting with LED, AV, audio, show-control and special effects systems where required.
• Work with special effects such as strobe, moving heads, haze/fog, CO₂, cold spark, confetti and other entertainment effects.
• Participate in installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and system handover.
• Perform fixture addressing, patching, focusing, calibration and lighting system setup.
• Provide technical support during events, launches and live shows.
• Prepare and maintain lighting drawings, equipment schedules, programming files and technical documentation.
• Assist with technical proposals, equipment selection and project planning.
• Travel to project sites within Malaysia and occasionally overseas when required.

Requirements
