Job summary

Adept Construction & Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced construction project manager to oversee multiple project types from initiation to close. You will hire subcontractors, coordinate with vendors and monitor inventory of equipment and materials on site.

Requirements include a Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 10+ years as a PM in construction, preferably industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in civil engineering or construction management.
• At least 10 years of PM experience in construction, preferably industrial facilities.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of regulations, permits and safety standards.
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors and authorities.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules and resources.

Responsibilities

• Define the project scope and objectives.
• Oversee projects from initiation to close, meeting deadlines and budget.
• Develop a construction project management plan.

Seeking an experienced construction project manager who is responsible for overseeing a number of different types of construction projects. They will lead the project from initiation to close, hiring subcontractors, working with vendors and tracking inventory of equipment and materials. This person should be knowledgeable about regulations, permits and project management methodology. They should also work well with others, be highly organized and detail-oriented, meet deadlines and strive to stay within budget.

Responsibilities

• Define the project scope
• To ensure projects are executed timely, within budget and comply to contractual requirements in respect of quality and specification
• Create a construction project management plan
• To liaise with client, consultants, sub-contractors, local authorities to ensure project implemented smoothly
• Develop a construction schedule, with project deliverables and milestones
• Keep inventory of tools, equipment and machinery
• Manage resources such as construction materials, construction workers and equipment
• Allocate and manage resource logistics
• Oversee the performance of the general contractor, site manager and other members of the construction team
• Obtain building permits, licenses and meet code regulations
• Maintain health and safety standards

Requirements

• Possess at least Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
• At least 10 years working experience as Project Manager in construction field preferable in Industrial Factory, FAB, CUB
• Strong team management and leadership skills
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Project management skills such as time management, project budgeting, resource management and project scheduling
• Strong knowledge of construction management best practices
