Job summary

Umech Construction invites applications for a seasoned Civil/Infrastructure Project Manager to lead site activities, align works with drawings, specs, procedures and approved designs, and ensure safe, compliant execution on schedule.

The successful candidate will plan, supervise, monitor and coordinate productivity, manage resources, liaise with Clients, Architects, Consultants and Sub-Contractors, and report progress to Project Manager and Top Management while guiding the team toward project

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• 8–14 years of experience in infrastructure construction.
• Strong leadership and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in organizing workforce and ensuring works follow drawings, specs, procedures, and approved designs.
• Plan, supervise, monitor, and coordinate site productivity with resources to meet schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with Clients, Architects, Consultants, and Sub-Contractors.
• Report project progress to Project Manager/Top Management.
• Undertake other duties as instructed by Management.

To assist project manager to organize workforce for respective work activities and ensure the works areaccording to drawings, specifications, procedures and approved design

To plan, supervise, monitor and coordinate site work productivity and arrange resources as required in respective site with effective manner and in line with the safety, ensure project run on time, within allocated budget allowance and acceptable quality.

To co-ordinate and liaise with Clients, Architect, Consultants and Sub-Contractors.

Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.

To report project progress to Project manager / Top Management.

To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the Management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree/Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline from recognized learning institutions
• Minimum 8-14 years of relevant experience in the similar capacity in the established organizations.
• Must have experience in Infrastructure construction.
• Well versed in the knowledge of design techniques, engineering, materials specification, usage & limitation, methodology of construction, contract, budgeting & costing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both English & Bahasa Malaysia) are necessary
• Able to plan and implement priorities with good follow-up & follow-through to achieve the desired result
• Strong leadership qualities and able to lead the internal and external team to achieve goals and objectives.
