Job summary

VERONA BAKE (M) SDN BHD is seeking a Bakery Assistant to support daily production of bread, cakes and pastries. You will mix, ferment, shape and bake according to our standards and ensure the display is attractive.

The role requires a minimum SPM or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience. Mandarin is an advantage; ability to communicate in Malay or English or Mandarin is expected. OT, weekends, and holidays are possible.

• Prepare ingredients and bake according to recipes and standards.
• Monitor quality of ingredients and preparation areas.
• Maintain clean and tidy bakery counters and kitchen after service.

Job description

Producing various types of bakery product including cake, bread, pastries and desserts.

Mixes, ferments, shapes, and bakes according to specified recipes and standards.

Mix ingredients according to recipes to make breads, cake, pastries, and other baked goods.

Ensure proper preparation according to formula and scheduled standards.

Check the quality of baking ingredients and prepare equipment for baking.

Tracking ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly.

Monitoring the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on display.

Reporting low baked goods stock to superior in a timely manner.

Maintaining a clean and tidy baked goods counter.

Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.

To perform other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.

Work Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least SPM or equivalent.

At least 1Year(s)of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Mandarin Speaker is an advantage.

Able to communicate in Malay and English, or Mandarin.

In depth knowledge of food preparation and baking techniques.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including OT, weekends, and holidays.
