Job summary

VERONA BAKE (M) SDN BHD in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a customer-focused role to manage baked goods sales, weigh and price items, and process payments. You will help maintain inventory, handle stock requests, and ensure high display standards.

The position requires good communication skills, ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays, and knowledge of food safety regulations. English, Malay, or Mandarin are welcomed for our diverse client base.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM certificate or equivalent.
• Experience serving customers in bakery environment preferred.
• Weighing, pricing, packaging, and processing payments of baked goods.
• Knowledge of food and health industry regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
• Able to communicate in Malay and English, or Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Weigh, price, package, and process payments for baked goods.
• Manage bakery ingredients inventory and request stock.
• Track expiry dates and manage use of ingredients.
• Monitor display quality and availability of baked goods.
• Report low stock to Baker promptly.
• Keep counter clean and ready for next day.
• Clean kitchen after business hours.
• Handle customer complaints and relay to Baker.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

Weighing, pricing, and packaging purchased items, as well as processing payments.

Managing the baking ingredients inventory and requesting the purchase of stock.

Tracking ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly.

Monitoring the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on display.

Reporting low baked goods stock to the Baker in a timely manner.

Maintaining a clean and tidy baked goods counter and performing other duties on request.

Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.

Managing customer complaints and relaying them to the Baker.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM certificate or equivalent.
