Job summary

VERONA BAKE (M) SDN BHD in Tebrau, Johor, seeks an active Bakery Associate to mix, prepare and bake a range of bakery products. The role requires at least 1 year of related experience and an SPM or equivalent qualification.

Mandarin is an advantage, with Malay/English communication essential. The successful candidate will handle ingredients, ensure quality, and support display, stock checks, and clean-down tasks.

Qualifications

• Proven skills in preparing and baking a variety of bakery products.
• Knowledge of baking techniques and food safety standards.
• Ability to communicate in Malay and English; Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Mix ingredients according to recipes and standards.
• Prepare and bake breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts.
• Monitor ingredient quality and expiry dates.
• Ensure display is visually appealing and stock is available.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and work area.
• Report low stock and assist with ad-hoc tasks.

Job description

Producing various types of bakery product including cake, bread, pastries and desserts.

Mixes, ferments, shapes, and bakes according to specified recipes and standards.

Mix ingredients according to recipes to make breads, cake, pastries, and other baked goods.

Ensure proper preparation according to formula and scheduled standards.

Check the quality of baking ingredients and prepare equipment for baking.

Tracking ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly.

Monitoring the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on display.

Reporting low baked goods stock to superior in a timely manner.

Maintaining a clean and tidy baked goods counter.

Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.

To perform other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.

Work Requirements: -

Candidate must possess at least SPM or equivalent.

At least 1Year(s)of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Mandarin Speaker is an advantage.

Able to communicate in Malay and English, or Mandarin.

In depth knowledge of food preparation and baking techniques.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including OT, weekends, and holidays.
