Job summary

VERONA BAKE (M) SDN BHD is seeking an enthusiastic bakery assistant at Aeon Bukit Indah, Johor. You will mix, ferment, shape, and bake items following recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.

The role requires at least 1 year of related experience and an ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Mandarin is an advantage; proficiency in Malay and English is valued.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in bakery or related field.
• Mandarin is an advantage.
• Able to communicate in Malay and English, or Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Mixes, ferments, shapes, and bakes according to recipes and standards.
• Prepare ingredients and equipment according to formula and schedule.
• Monitor display quality and availability of baked goods.
• Report low stock and maintain a clean counter and kitchen.
• Support ad-hoc tasks as directed by supervisor.

Job description

Producing various types of bakery product including cake, bread, pastries and desserts.

Mixes, ferments, shapes, and bakes according to specified recipes and standards.

Mix ingredients according to recipes to make breads, cake, pastries, and other baked goods.

Ensure proper preparation according to formula and scheduled standards.

Check the quality of baking ingredients and prepare equipment for baking.

Tracking ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly.

Monitoring the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on display.

Reporting low baked goods stock to superior in a timely manner.

Maintaining a clean and tidy baked goods counter.

Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.

To perform other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.

Work Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least SPM or equivalent.

At least 1Year(s)of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Mandarin Speaker is an advantage.

Able to communicate in Malay and English, or Mandarin.

In depth knowledge of food preparation and baking techniques.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including OT, weekends, and holidays.
