Job summary

Verona Bake (M) Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a bakery counter attendant to weigh, price, package and handle payments for baked goods. You will manage ingredient inventory, monitor expiry dates, and ensure an appealing display while delivering excellent customer service.

Strong communication skills in Malay and English (or Mandarin) are required, with ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training and uniforms provided, with staff discounts and bonuses as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM certificate or equivalent.
• Experience serving customers in a bakery environment preferred.
• Proficiency in weighing, pricing, packaging, and processing payments of baked goods.
• Knowledge of food and health industry regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
• Able to communicate in Malay and English, or Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Weigh, price, package, and process payments for baked goods.
• Manage bakery ingredients inventory and request stock purchases.
• Track ingredient expiry dates and plan usage accordingly.
• Monitor display and availability of baked goods on display.
• Report low baked goods stock to the Baker promptly.
• Maintain a clean and tidy baked goods counter and perform other duties as assigned.
• Clean the kitchen after business hours and prepare it for the next day.
• Manage customer complaints and relay them to the Baker.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Managing the baking ingredients inventory and requesting the purchase of stock.

Tracking ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly.

Monitoring the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on display.

Reporting low baked goods stock to the Baker in a timely manner.

Maintaining a clean and tidy baked goods counter and performing other duties on request.

Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.

Managing customer complaints and relaying them to the Baker.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
