Job summary

VERONA BAKE (M) SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated bakery assistant to join the team in Kuala Lumpur. You will produce a variety of bakery products, follow recipes, and ensure quality and cleanliness in the kitchen and display area.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience and SPM or equivalent, with multilingual communication and the ability to work OT, weekends, and holidays. Training and a supportive environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least SPM or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Mandarin speaker is an advantage.
• Able to communicate in Malay and English, or Mandarin.
• In depth knowledge of food preparation and baking techniques.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including OT, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Produce a variety of bakery products including cake, bread, pastries and desserts.
• Mix, ferment, shape and bake according to recipes and standards.
• Check ingredients quality and prepare equipment for baking.
• Monitor display and availability of baked goods; report stock shortages.
• Maintain a clean and tidy bakery counter and kitchen after service.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

Producing various types of bakery product including cake, bread, pastries and desserts.

Mixes, ferments, shapes, and bakes according to specified recipes and standards.

Mix ingredients according to recipes to make breads, cake, pastries, and other baked goods.

Ensure proper preparation according to formula and scheduled standards.

Check the quality of baking ingredients and prepare equipment for baking.

Tracking ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly.

Monitoring the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on display.

Reporting low baked goods stock to superior in a timely manner.

Maintaining a clean and tidy baked goods counter.

Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.

To perform other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.

Work Requirements: -
