Job summary

REMUS ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Penang. You will set up and operate 3-axis CNC centers, perform first-piece inspections, and adjust tooling to meet quality standards.

You should have a Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing, at least 2 years' CNC experience, training in GD&T, and familiarity with Mastercam. Shift work and collaboration with Production, Quality, and Engineering are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of CNC machining or manufacturing experience.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining centers (3-axis and above).
• Strong knowledge of CNC processes, GD&T and quality control.
• Experience with Mastercam is an added advantage.
• Experience handling AWEA/FEELER/FANUC CNC machines is an added advantage.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
• Willing to work on rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-axis CNC machining centers and above according to work instructions and production requirements.
• Perform first-piece inspection after tool changes and conduct in-process quality checks to ensure product specifications are met.
• Adjust or replace cutting tools, inserts, and machining parameters to maintain machining performance.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, setup sheets, job routers, and inspection plans.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize machine performance to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.
• Ensure proper handling and reuse of cutters/inserts to minimize waste and control tooling costs.
• Complete assigned tasks within required cycle time and production targets while following safety and quality procedures.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to support production goals.
