is looking for a skilled Machinist to set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines or CNC Turn-mill, CNC Turning and Auto-lathe according to procedures, programs and engineering drawings to manufacture machined parts effectively and to specifications. • Must have 2–3 years proven experience as Machinist or CNC Technician.
• Proficient in operating CNC milling and lathe machines with G-code knowledge.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-, 4-, and/or 5-axis CNC milling machines or CNC Turn-mill, CNC Turning and Auto-lathe to manufacture parts per procedures, programs, and drawings.
• Change cutting tools and adjust machine feeds and speeds as needed.
• Set up, operate and maintain measuring equipment, gauges, and fixtures for inspections.
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the work area.
• Train Machine Operators to operate CNC Machines.

Job description

Set up and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, and/or 5-axis CNC milling machines or CNC Turn-mill, CNC Turning and Auto-lathe according to procedures, programs and engineering drawings to manufacture machined parts effectively and to specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Change cutting tools and adjust machine feeds and speeds as needed
• Setup and operate CNC Machines to produce parts as per drawings and within specification
• Setup, operate and maintain measuring equipment, gauges and fixtures for inspections
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of work area at all times
• Train Machine Operators to operate CNC Machines
• Control material wastage, manufacturing cost reduction and compliance with safety requirements
• Identify root causes and corrective actions to resolve production process and quality issues
• Inspect parts produced to assure compliance with specifications and quality requirements
• Perform troubleshooting and regular maintenance on CNC Machines
• Report defective machines, equipment, materials and/or faulty operations to superior

About you

• Proven experience as a Machinist or CNC Technician with at least 2-3 years
• Proficient in operating CNC milling and Lathe machines, with a strong understanding of G-code programming
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment and follow established procedures and protocols
• Tertiary qualification in Machining Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
