We are looking for experienced CNC Operators to join our growing production team. You will be expected to operate CNC machines competently, including the ability to perform programming, tool-setting, preventive maintenance and troubleshoot simple faults. As an experienced CNC Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring quality parts leave the machines and jobs are completed as scheduled or earlier.
Successful candidates with excellent performance may be subsequently considered for appointment as a CNC Team Leader, subject to on-the-job performance review and suitability assessment.
Key responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T
Safely set-up and operate CNC Milling or CNC Turning machines to fabricate parts to drawing, tolerance and surface-finish requirements
Write, edit and optimise CNC programs best suitable to achieve quality and production efficiency
Plan and Perform quick machine turnaround between work-orders
Ensure proper tool-management, maintenance, selection and usage at all times
Observe machine operations and perform basic troubleshooting or tuning to resolve issues such as dimensional drift/distortion, chatter, poor surface finish, burrs, tool breakage etc
Perform daily preventive maintenance on machines, including lubrication, coolant and air checks, cleaning, rust prevention, inspection of spindle, chuck, tool holders and safety devices, and report equipment faults promptly
Carry out in-process and first-off inspection using calipers, micrometres, height-gauges, pin gauges and other appropriate tools, and record results
Report any issues related to the work-order for immediate attention
Keep a clear shift handover log so the day team knows job status, issues and pending actions
About you
Recognised Technical/Vocational Certificate or Diploma or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of hands-on CNC milling and/or turning experience
Able to operate, program, set tools and troubleshoot CNC machines independently
Proficient in manual G-code / M-code programming, with working knowledge of common controllers such as Fanuc or similar
Strong drawing‑interpretation skills and familiarity with GD&T and precision measuring instruments
Knowledge and experience with plastics and metals behaviour during fabrication
Willing and able to work night shifts on a regular basis
Responsible, detail-oriented and dependable, disciplined and team-player
