Job summary

Gong Fu Sdn Bhd is seeking a hands-on CNC operator to assist in machine setup, programming edits, and daily production tasks. You will support tooling, calibration, and first-piece checks to ensure the output meets specifications.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, familiarity with CNC control systems (e.g., G-code/M-code), and the ability to use measuring tools. Overtime may be required, and teamwork is essential on the shop floor.

Qualifications

Job Description:

1. CNC Machine Setup & Operation Support

Assist in setting up CNC (NC) machines before productions runs.

Support machine calibration and tool setting activities.

Help conduct trial runs and verify first-piece output quality.

Report machine abnormalities and assist in resolving minor issues.

Ensure machines are clean, safe and ready for production use.

2. CNC Programming Support

Assist in loading, editing and basic modification of CNC programs.

Support engineers in optimizing machining parameters when required.

Ensure correct programs execution based on engineering drawings.

Help maintain consistency in machining operations.

3. Production Support & Execution

Support daily production activities according to schedule.

Ensure machines are running efficiently and output targets are met.

Assist in material handling and workflow coordination on the shop floor.

Help reduce machine downtime by supporting quick issue resolution.

4. Manpower Support & Coordination

Assist in guiding machine operators on proper machine usage.

Support task allocation under supervision of engineers or supervisors.

Ensure smooth coordination between operators and engineering team.

Help maintain discipline and workflow efficiency on the production floor.

5. Quality Control Support

Conduct basic inspection of machined parts using measuring tools.

Ensure parts meet required tolerances and specifications.

Report any quality defects or deviations immediately.

Support Quality team in inspection and corrective actions.

6. Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Perform basic preventive maintenance on CNC machines.

Assist in identifying and troubleshooting machine issues.

Support repair activities under guidance of senior engineers.

Maintain proper machine condition and cleanliness.

Support improvement initiatives in production efficiency and workflow.

Assist in identifying causes of downtime or defects.

Contribute ideas for improving machining and operational processes.

Requirement:

Candidate must have experience and hands-on skills with CNC/ NC Milling.

Candidate must have experience in manufacturing industry of automation or pneumatic parts.

Basic knowledge of CNC programming (CAD/ CAM, G-code, M-code is an advantage).

Able to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Familiar with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc.

Understand of CNC machine operation basic maintenance.

Good hands-on technical and problem-solving skills.

Able to work in a team and follow instructions from engineers/ supervisors.

Exposure to CNC Fanuc or similar control systems.

Basic understanding of jigs and fixtures.

Able to do overtime (as requested by management)

Have a strong discipline, willingness to learn and improve themselves to be better.
