Job summary

ECA ADVANCED SOLUTIONS SDN. BHD. in Penang is seeking a CNC Machinist/Engineer to set up, operate, and optimize 3-axis and 5-axis machining processes.

You will prepare tools, fixtures, and workholding, and support automation components and precision assemblies. Responsibilities include CAM programming, interpreting CAD models and GD&T, addressing tool wear and machining challenges, and driving improvements in cycle time and tooling life.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience in machining/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of milling and cutting tools, machining parameters and materials.
• Able to understand and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Understand ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and optimize 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machining department.
• Prepare, select, and maintain cutting tools, fixtures, jigs, and work holding.
• Support automation equipment parts, custom machinery components, and precision assemblies.
• Perform CAM programming, simulation, and on-machine program adjustments.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T.
• Tool wear and breakage, machining challenges.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), prototyping, and engineering changes.
• Improve cycle time, tooling life, and production efficiency.
• Work closely with Engineering, QA, Production, and Automation teams.
• Maintain compliance with ISO, safety, 5S, and company SOPs.
• Prepare basic machining documentation and tooling lists.

Requirements:

SPM/ STPM/Certificate/Diploma in Machining/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent years of related experience.

Preferably at least 2 years working experience in in the related field is required for this position.

Strong work ethic and positive team attitude with a flexible approach.

Strong knowledge of milling, cutting tools, machining parameters, and materials

Able to understand and interpret mechanical drawings.

Understand ISO 9001 : 2015 requirement.
