Job summary

Nueratec Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to prepare machines for production by setting up tools, fixtures, and machine parameters while ensuring quality. Responsibilities include setting up CNC milling machines, installing tools, performing first-piece inspection, verifying offsets and tool wear, and troubleshooting setup issues.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Bachelor in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Precision Engineering, 2–4 years’ CNC setup

Qualifications

• Certificate or degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years CNC setup experience preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC Milling machines according to production schedules.
• Install cutting tools, fixtures, and workpieces.

• Set machine offsets and tool wear compensation.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to prepare CNC machines for production by setting up tools, fixtures, and machine parameters while ensuring quality requirements are achieved before production begins.

Key responsibilities

Set up CNC Milling machines according to production schedules

Install cutting tools, fixtures, and workpieces

Perform first-piece inspection before production

Set machine offsets and tool wear compensation

Troubleshoot setup and machining issues

Ensure machines are properly maintained and ready for production

Maintain setup records and WI documentation

Follow company safety and quality procedures

About you

Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Precision Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field

Minimum 2–4 years of CNC machine setup experience preferred

Proficient in CNC Milling or Turning machine setup

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T

Experience with CAD/CAM software is an advantage

Strong knowledge of machining processes and cutting tools

Good troubleshooting and problem solving

Able to verify FAI inspection and fine tuning machine

Able to work independently and as part of a team
