Job summary

Sunway Medical Centre Penang is seeking a patient service assistant to support busy clinic operations. You will adhere to SOPs, protect patient confidentiality, and coordinate diagnostics or admissions when needed.

Responsibilities include handling telephone inquiries with courtesy, responding to patient needs promptly, ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of clinics and waiting areas, and following up on outstanding tasks as required.

Qualifications

• SPM or Diploma required.
• Open and flexible to work on Saturdays or ad hoc to support operational needs.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhering to SOPs, work instructions and policies for procedures in all areas assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality and safety of all patients’ records.
• Coordinate patients to other departments for diagnostic tests, lab investigations or admission if necessary.
• Responsible for cleanliness and tidiness of the clinics and patient waiting areas.
• Handling phone calls with courtesy and ensure messages are taken appropriately.
• Respond to patient needs or queries promptly and follow up appropriately.
