Job summary

SUNWAY TCM SDN BHD in Malaysia seeks a Clinic Assistant to support frontline patient care in Kuching. You will prepare examination rooms, stock and sanitize equipment, guide patients, and help with vital signs under medical staff supervision.

You'll manage appointments, respond to inquiries, handle billing support, inventory, and housekeeping tasks, ensuring smooth clinic operations with a focus on hospitality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in health science or business administration with credit in English and Mathematics.
• Able to use computerized systems.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Patience, emotional stability and empathy.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Customer-service oriented with hospitality skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms, stocking and sanitizing equipment and supplies.
• Guide patients to consultation and treatment rooms and provide comfort during visits.
• Take and record patient vital signs under the direction of medical staff.
• Chaperone healthcare professionals during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring stock levels and expiry.
• Assist in processing medical billing, insurance verification, and co-payment collection.
• Coordinate with laundry service or manage on-site washing and drying of linens.
• Maintain inventory levels of linens, towels, patient gowns, and drapes.
• Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide information about clinic services and policies.
• Schedule patient appointments, manage cancellations, and reschedule as needed.
• Perform other duties as required by superior in a timely and efficient manner.
