COSMEDIC CLINIC in Melaka Tengah, Melaka is seeking a dedicated Clinic Assistant to join our healthcare team in a full-time capacity. The role supports both clinical and administrative functions to ensure a welcoming, efficient environment for patients.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, previous clinic experience, strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification (Form 5 SPM or higher).
• Experience as clinic assistant, medical receptionist or similar healthcare support role preferred.
• Strong communication skills with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients on arrival and handle check-in procedures.
• Assist clinical staff during consultations and minor procedures as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of clinical areas and waiting spaces.
• Prepare and sterilise medical instruments and equipment.
• Manage medical supplies and report shortages.
• Handle phone inquiries and schedule appointments.
• Perform general administrative duties including filing and data entry.
• Provide patient education and post-treatment care instructions.

About the role

COSMEDIC CLINIC is seeking a dedicated Clinic Assistant to join our healthcare team in Melaka Tengah, Melaka. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring our clinic operates smoothly and delivers exceptional patient care. As a Clinic Assistant, you will be the backbone of our daily operations, supporting both clinical and administrative functions to create a welcoming and efficient environment for our patients. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of service that COSMEDIC CLINIC is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and register patients upon arrival, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor
• Assist with patient check-in procedures and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately
• Support clinical staff during patient consultations and minor procedures as required
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of clinical areas, treatment rooms and waiting spaces
• Prepare and sterilise medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols
• Manage medical supplies and inventory, reporting shortages to supervisors
• Handle telephone enquiries and schedule appointments efficiently
• Perform general administrative duties including filing, data entry and record management
• Assist with patient education and provide clear instructions regarding post-treatment care
• Support the nursing team with routine clinical tasks whilst maintaining patient confidentiality
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control standards

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification (Form 5 SPM or higher)
• Previous experience as a clinic assistant, medical receptionist or similar healthcare support role
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare professionals
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency with medical record systems
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• A caring and empathetic approach to patient interactions
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong commitment to professional standards
• Certification in First Aid or Basic Life Support is advantageous but not essential
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both verbal and written)
