Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment areas and ensure supplies/equipment are available

About the role

Klinik Gobi Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinic Assistant to join our healthcare team in Puchong, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our clinic and ensuring our patients receive exceptional care and service. As a Clinic Assistant, you will be at the forefront of patient interactions, helping to create a welcoming and efficient clinic environment whilst assisting medical professionals in delivering quality healthcare services.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting patients upon arrival and assisting with patient registration and check-in procedures
• Maintaining accurate and organised patient records and medical files in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Scheduling patient appointments and managing the clinic's appointment system
• Assisting nursing staff with basic patient care tasks, including vital signs monitoring under supervision
• Preparing treatment areas and ensuring all necessary medical supplies and equipment are available
• Sterilising and maintaining medical instruments and equipment according to clinic protocols
• Performing general cleanliness and housekeeping duties to maintain a hygienic clinical environment
• Assisting with patient education and providing information about clinic services and procedures
• Managing clinic inventory and ordering supplies as needed
• Supporting administrative tasks such as answering telephone enquiries and managing clinic correspondence
• Ensuring patient confidentiality and maintaining professional standards at all times

What we're looking for

• A minimum of secondary education or equivalent qualification; additional healthcare-related certifications are advantageous
• Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, clinic or medical environment is highly valued
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff and healthcare professionals
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with patient management systems or electronic health records
• A compassionate and patient-centred approach to healthcare support
• Physical ability to perform duties such as standing for extended periods and assisting with patient movements where appropriate
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong commitment to maintaining professional standards
• Willingness to follow clinic protocols and safety procedures, including infection control measures
• Knowledge of basic first aid or CPR certification is preferred
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are beneficial
