The successful candidate will have a relevant Diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a patient-centred approach.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Nursing, Medical Assistant, Medical Imaging or equivalent qualification.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinic Assistant to join the healthcare team at HIJRAA Healthcare SDN. BHD. in Kuala Nerus, Terengganu. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our clinic and ensuring patients receive excellent care and support throughout their visit. As a Clinic Assistant, you will be at the front line of patient care, providing administrative and clinical support to our medical team whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and patient confidentiality. This role is essential to creating a welcoming and efficient healthcare environment for all patients.

Key responsibilities

Greeting patients upon arrival and registering them into the clinic system with accuracy and compassion

Maintaining and organising patient records, ensuring all documentation is complete, legible and filed appropriately

Assisting nurses and doctors with patient examinations, procedures and treatments as required

Performing basic vital signs measurements including blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiration rate

Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with infection control protocols

Scheduling patient appointments and managing the clinic appointment system efficiently

Processing patient payments and handling billing enquiries in a professional manner

Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the clinic environment, including waiting areas and treatment rooms

Supporting the clinical team with supply inventory management and ordering of consumables

Responding to patient calls and enquiries with courtesy and promptness

Assisting with infection control and health and safety procedures throughout the clinic

What we're looking for

Diploma in Nursing, Medical Assistant, Medical Imaging, or an equivalent qualification. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, clinic, hospital or medical facility is highly desirable

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, visitors and healthcare staff

Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail in all aspects of the role

Proficiency in using computer systems and familiarity with clinic management software or electronic patient records

Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English, with additional languages being advantageous

A compassionate and patient-centred approach to healthcare support

Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to maintaining professional confidentiality at all times

Physical capability to perform the duties of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting light objects

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
