Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinic Assistant to join the healthcare team at Utama Med Kota Seriemas Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. As a Clinic Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our clinic and ensuring that patients receive excellent care and support throughout their visit. You will work closely with our medical professionals and nursing staff to create a welcoming and efficient environment for all patients. This position is fundamental to the day-to-day functioning of our clinic and contributes significantly to the overall patient experience and satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting patients upon arrival and maintaining an organised and welcoming reception area
• Assisting with patient registration and maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
• Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic's appointment system efficiently
• Providing administrative support to medical and nursing staff as required
• Assisting nurses and doctors with basic clinical tasks, such as taking patient vital signs, measuring blood pressure and temperature
• Preparing examination rooms and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly sterilised
• Ordering and maintaining clinic supplies and inventory levels
• Handling patient enquiries and directing them to appropriate medical staff
• Supporting the implementation of clinic policies and procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
• Assisting with basic wound care, dressing changes and other clinical support tasks under the supervision of qualified nursing staff
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection and patient privacy regulations

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience working in a clinical, healthcare or patient-facing environment is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff and visitors
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
• Physical capability to perform various clinic duties, including standing for extended periods and assisting patients with mobility
• A genuine compassion for patient care and a commitment to providing support and comfort to patients
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and follow instructions from medical professionals
• Reliability and punctuality with a professional and courteous attitude
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency with clinic management systems is preferred
• Malaysian language proficiency (Bahasa Malaysia) is essential; English proficiency is an advantage
• Valid driving licence and own transportation are preferred
