Job summary

Shopee Mobile Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Centralised Projects - Mid Tail Team Lead (BD) to drive business development and partnerships. You will lead a team, develop growth strategies, and collaborate with internal teams to scale solutions and strengthen relationships with brands and sellers.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and proficiency with Excel/Sheets. You will work closely with marketing to boost usage and awareness for brands and sellers.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in any field; work experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business development, or e-commerce is a plus.
• Experience in a management role with coaching, mentoring and team leadership.
• Strong analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Solid business sense and commercial savviness.

The Business Development and Partnerships teams at Shopee are dynamic and energetic. The teams are always looking to acquire business opportunities to drive Shopee to be the No. 1 e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. The aim of the Business Development and Partnership teams is to provide Shopee’s buyers with a wide variety of product listings at the best prices.

Job Description:

• Accountable for the overall performance of a business segment in Shopee
• Developing growth strategies, involving planning, negotiation, and execution of initiatives in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Collaborating with internal teams to define, enhance, and scale solutions
• Providing leadership and guidance to the team for efficient execution of daily tasks and skill development for advancement
• Continuously maintain a strong relationship with brands/sellers
• Work closely with the marketing team to drive usage and awareness for brands/sellers

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in any field, with work experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business development, and e-commerce is a plus
• Experienced in a management role - passionate about coaching, mentoring and team management
• Highly analytical and able to generate meaningful and actionable analysis; Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills
