CLAY INDUSTRIES SDN. BERHAD in Malaysia is seeking a Head of Sales & Marketing for the Central Region to lead sales performance, revenue growth and market development in building materials ceramic products.

This hands-on leadership role requires owning regional sales targets, developing strategies, managing key accounts, nurturing projects with developers, architects and contractors, and coaching the sales team to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual goals.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Construction, Building Technology or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant Sales / Business Development experience, preferably with managerial or team-lead capacity.
• Proven track record in achieving sales targets, developing new business and growing markets.
• Experience in building materials, sanitaryware, tiles, ceramics, architectural products, construction products or related industries is highly preferred.
• Good exposure to and understanding of project sales and/or distribution channels.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify, develop and convert business opportunities.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to drive sales team performance.
• Strong networking, negotiation, presentation and customer relationship-management skills.
• Able to analyse sales performance, identify gaps and develop practical action plans to achieve targets.
• Hands-on, proactive, accountable and strongly result-oriented.

Responsabilités

• Lead and drive Sales & Marketing activities for the Central Region to achieve assigned sales revenue, margin and business growth targets.
• Develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales expectations.
• Take ownership of regional sales performance, analyse performance gaps and implement timely corrective action when targets are not achieved.
• Identify and develop new projects, customers, dealers, distributors, market segments and business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, consultants, contractors, dealers, distributors and key decision-makers.
• Develop and follow up project opportunities to increase product adoption and specifications in Government and Private Sector projects.
• Manage and grow existing key accounts while continuously developing new customer accounts.
• Lead, coach, motivate and develop the Sales team to achieve individual and regional sales targets.
• Establish clear sales targets, KPIs and activity plans and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, customer requirements and emerging business opportunities.
