Job summary

Aurightec is seeking a Material Planner to manage material requirements and procurement across EMS, PCBA, SMT, and electronics manufacturing. You will optimize inventory, coordinate with suppliers, and support continuous improvements to meet production schedules and customer delivery targets.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in material planning or purchasing within electronics manufacturing, strong MRP knowledge, ERP experience, and excellent English communication; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Material Planning, Purchasing, Production Control, or Supply Chain within EMS/PCBA/SMT/electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP, inventory management, procurement processes, and supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan material requirements based on MRP and customer demand to ensure timely material availability for production.
  • Analyze and release PRs and POs according to production schedules and inventory requirements.
  • Monitor supplier order confirmations, delivery schedules, and shipment status to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels while driving inventory optimization and improving turnover.
  • Develop and execute material planning strategies to support On-Time Delivery (OTD) and On-Time Request (OTR).
  • Track shortages, coordinate recovery plans, and work with suppliers to minimize disruptions.
  • Escalate critical shortages and implement mitigation plans to reduce supply risks.
  • Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, Finance, and Customs teams to resolve material issues.
  • Support supplier quality improvement with Quality team on issues and corrective actions.
  • Manage ECN implementation to minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery reliability, and purchasing KPIs and drive improvements.
  • Prepare and analyze material planning, inventory, and purchasing performance reports.
  • Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement to enhance planning accuracy and efficiency.

Job description

Responsible for planning and managing material requirements to ensure uninterrupted production, optimize inventory levels, and achieve on-time customer delivery. Coordinate with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to manage purchase orders, resolve material shortages, monitor supplier performance, and support continuous improvement of the supply chain to meet business and customer objectives.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute material planning strategies to support customer On-Time Delivery (OTD) and On-Time Request (OTR) performance.
  • Track material shortages, coordinate recovery plans, and work closely with suppliers to minimize production disruptions.
  • Escalate critical material shortages and implement appropriate mitigation plans to reduce supply risks.
  • Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, Finance, and Customs teams to resolve material-related issues.
  • Support supplier quality improvement activities by collaborating with the Quality team on supplier quality issues and corrective actions.
  • Manage Engineering Change Notice (ECN) implementation to ensure material readiness and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery reliability, and purchasing KPIs while driving continuous supplier improvement.
  • Prepare and analyze material planning reports, inventory reports, shortage reports, and purchasing performance metrics.
  • Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, procurement procedures, and supply chain best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, supply chain efficiency, and operational performance.
Position Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Material Planning, Purchasing, Production Control, or Supply Chain within the EMS, PCBA, SMT, or electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory management, procurement processes, and supply chain operations.
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to analyze material demand, inventory trends, and purchasing data to support effective planning decisions.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and shortage recovery activities.
  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Notice (ECN) processes, inventory control, and production planning concepts.
  • Proficiency in English is required; Mandarin proficiency is preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking suppliers and customers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and risk management awareness.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet tight production deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of EMS manufacturing processes and customer-driven supply chain requirements is an added advantage.
