Job summary

ACTMAX SDN. BHD. in Malaysia is seeking a Material Planner to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components and packaging to meet production and customer demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

You will plan materials based on production plans, BOMs and lead times, monitor supplier commitments, and coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Warehouse and Quality to resolve issues. Applicants should have 2–5 years' experience and ERP/MRP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Manufacturing or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Material Planning, Inventory Management or related areas.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and BOM knowledge.
• Understanding of BOM, MOQ, safety stock, lead times and inventory control.
• Strong analytical, planning, coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan material requirements based on production plans, customer demand, MRP, BOM, inventory levels and supplier lead times.
• Monitor material availability and ensure materials are ready according to the production schedule.
• Review MRP requirements and coordinate purchase/replenishment with Purchasing.
• Monitor open purchase orders, delivery schedules and supplier commitments.
• Follow up and expedite critical, delayed, or shortage materials to prevent production disruption.
• Maintain safety stock, reorder levels, MOQ and lead-time parameters.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify shortage, excess, slow-moving, and obsolete materials.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering, and suppliers to resolve material issues.
• Adjust material plans according to changes in production schedules, customer demand, engineering changes and supply conditions.
• Support material planning for New Product Introduction (NPI) and engineering changes.

Key responsibilities

Plan material requirements based on production plans, customer demand, MRP requirements, BOM, inventory levels, and supplier lead times

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field

2–5 years of relevant experience in Material Planning, Supply Chain, Production Planning, or Inventory Management, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent

Good understanding of BOM, MRP, inventory control, production planning, material lead times, MOQ, and safety stock

Strong analytical, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal departments and suppliers
