Job summary

YAGEO Malaysia is seeking a procurement planner to independently plan and procure materials based on MRP, execute purchase orders, and manage requisitions to ensure timely supply. You will monitor supplier schedules, drive expediting when needed, and balance inventory with production needs.

You will collaborate with Production Planning, Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, Quality, and other functions to optimize KPIs and drive a resilient supply chain.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in material planning, production planning, supply chain management, or operational purchasing.
• Strong SAP skills, preferably in MM/PP modules.
• Extensive knowledge of MRP processes and methodologies.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and procure all required materials and products based on MRP.
• Execute purchase order placement and follow-up.
• Review, process, and manage purchase requisitions promptly.
• Monitor supplier delivery schedules and follow up on overdue orders via escalation and expediting.
• Ensure continuous material availability while balancing inventory, demand, and capacity.
• Coordinate corrective actions for supply shortages and utilize alternate suppliers when needed.
• Maintain and optimize planning master data including lead times and lot sizes.
• Develop and report procurement and inventory KPIs.
• Monitor inventory levels, accuracy, and stock coverage.
• Collaborate with Production Planning, Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, Quality, and others.

Key responsibilities

• Independently plan and procure all required materials and products based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
• Execute purchase order placement and follow-up
• Review, process, and manage purchase requisitions in a timely and efficient manner
• Monitor supplier delivery schedules and proactively follow up on overdue orders through escalation and expediting activities
• Ensure continuous material availability while balancing inventory levels, demand requirements, and production capacity constraints
• Initiate and coordinate corrective actions in the event of supply shortages, including the utilization of approved alternative suppliers
• Maintain and optimize planning-related master data, including planning parameters, lot sizes, safety stock levels, lead times, and replenishment settings
• Develop, analyze, and report procurement and inventory-related key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Monitor and optimize inventory levels, inventory accuracy, and stock coverage
• Collaborate closely with Production Planning, Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, Quality, and other business functions

About you

• Completed commercial, technical, or business-related education; additional qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Procurement are advantageous
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in material planning, production planning, supply chain management, or operational purchasing
• Strong SAP skills, preferably in the MM, PP modules
• Strong knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and methodologies
• Extensive experience with demand-driven and consumption-based material planning concepts
• Solid understanding of supply chain, procurement, and inventory management processes
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis) and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a dynamic environment
