We are seeking a Business Operations Manager to join our team in Bintulu, Sarawak on a full-time basis. This is a strategic management position that plays a crucial role in driving operational excellence and business growth at BOILERMASTER EM SDN BHD. The Business Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, optimising processes, managing resources, and ensuring that all business objectives are met efficiently and effectively. This role is essential to our continued success and will have a direct impact on our operational performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Lead and manage commercial activities, strategic projects, and day-to-day business operations to achieve organisational objectives.
Manage P&L, budgets, financial performance, forecasting, and resource allocation to optimise profitability and operational efficiency.
Analyse business performance, operational metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare performance reports for management review.
Oversee business operations, workflow administration, project coordination, and customer service to ensure smooth and efficient delivery.
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain service standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, maintenance, logistics, and other departments to drive business growth and operational excellence.
Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions to ensure business continuity and customer satisfaction.
Manage, develop, and mentor operations staff, conduct performance reviews, and foster a collaborative, high-performance work culture.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering Management, Operations Management, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, business management, or a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of operational processes, supply chain management, and resource planning
Proven track record in process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency optimisation
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and compliance requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation
