Job summary

SUBURMAS PALM OIL MILL SDN BHD in Bintulu seeks a Process Supervisor cum Boilerman to oversee shift milling operations, including sterilizer, press, clarification and kernel recovery plants to meet output targets.

The role covers boiler operations, water treatment, safety compliance under DOSH and strict MSPO/RSPO standards, plus hands-on maintenance coordination. Diploma or degree required, with a Boilerman certificate, and 3–5 years’ supervisory experience in a palm oil mill.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Science, or related field.
• Valid Boilerman Competency Certificate (Grade 1 or 2) issued by relevant regulatory authority.
• Minimum 3–5 years of shift supervision experience in a palm oil mill environment.
• Strong technical grasp of thermal utilities, steam boilers, press stations.
• Able to work on a shift basis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift milling operations, including sterilizer, press, clarification and kernel recovery plants.
• Manage steam boiler operations, water treatment and safety compliance.
• Monitor oil losses, moisture, FFA% and ensure product quality and yield.
• Lead operators, handle shift handovers and enforce MSPO/RSPO standards and EHS rules.
• Identify equipment faults and coordinate emergency shutdowns and maintenance logs.

Process Supervisor cum Boilerman (Based in Bintulu)

Process Supervision: Oversee shift milling operations, including sterilizer, press station, clarification, and kernel recovery plants to meet OER and KER targets.

Boiler Operations & Safety: Manage steam boiler operations, water treatment, and pressure vessel compliance under local occupational safety laws (e.g. DOSH/JKKP).

Quality & Yield Management: Monitor oil losses, moisture levels, FFA%, and clarify standards; take rapid corrective actionson off-spec products.

Shift Leadership & Compliance: Lead operators and manage shift handovers, and strictly enforce MSPO/RSPO sustainability standards, standard operating procedures, and site EHS rules.

Breakdown & Maintenance Coordination: Identify machinery abnormalities, execute emergency boiler and plant shut-off protocols, and log maintenance work orders.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Science, or related field.

Valid Boilerman Competency Certificate (Grade 1 or 2) issued by relevant regulatory authority (e.g. DOSH/JKKP).
