What is The Role About?
This role will be reporting to the Country Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing overall operational performance of the division, including project delivery, engineering execution, service operations, financial control coordination, and daily office administration.
This role ensures seamless coordination between admin, management, engineering, projects, finance, HR, procurement, and support teams to drive operational efficiency, profitability, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
What We Look For?
The right candidate will have a minimum Eight (8) years’ experience managing in a professional services environment, ideally within a system integrator and/or solutions provider. Knowledge of mission critical projects, is preferred as is experience in the Construction sector, Building, Electrical, or BMS, Commissioning as an operations and project manager or senior project coordinator on large scale projects.
Have an appreciation of the key operations, ITSM and/or also Project Management skills i.e. planning, monitoring and controlling, health and safety, document control and reporting, team motivation, risk management, planning and the key interaction of Scope, Time, Cost & Quality. Experience in Project Management or construction management with QAQC responsibilities of large projects.
The operations Manager is responsible for daily management, planning, managing, and executing end-to-end operations activities for division activities.
Demonstrate strong stakeholder and vendor management skills are required to maintain the constraints of scope, timescale & quality on large projects.
The candidate should be an excellent communicator in both Bahasa Malaysia and English and able to present ideas clearly and effectively both internally and externally in both written and verbal forms. Demonstrating Malaysian experience is essential, with relevant working with system integration organisations

Your Responsibilities
Office Team Operations Management
- Oversee the day-to-day office operations to ensure efficient coordination across Engineering, Projects, Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, and Administration.
- Manage office facilities, IT infrastructure, equipment, and workplace maintenance to support business continuity.
- Maintain document control systems, contract administration, company records, and statutory documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project financial performance, including project costs, profitability, and gross margins.
- Work closely with the Finance team to oversee billing, invoicing, collections, and cash flow management.
- Support annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and operational planning.
- Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to improve business performance.
- Coordinate manpower planning and resource allocation based on project demands and business requirements.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, employee development, and performance management initiatives.
- Promote employee engagement, professional development, and a collaborative workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, employment regulations, and internal procedures.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Manage supplier relationships and oversee vendor and subcontractor selection in accordance with company procurement policies.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to achieve cost-effective procurement.
- Monitor vendor performance, service quality, and contract compliance.
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and procurement cost optimization.
Operations & Project Delivery Management
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of Industrial Automation, PLC, SCADA, Building Management System (BMS), and Data Centre automation projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual and quality requirements.
- Monitor project schedules, manpower utilization, resource planning, and project progress.
- Identify operational risks, resource constraints, and project issues while implementing appropriate mitigation plans.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineering Managers, and Business Development teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Technical Leadership & Engineering Governance

- Technical Responsibilities
- Review control philosophies, FDS, cause & effect matrices.
- Oversee FAT, SAT, and integrated system testing (IST).
- Ensure cybersecurity and redundancy compliance for mission‑critical systems.

Sales & Business Development Support
- Support pre‑sales activities, including technical reviews, cost estimation, and risk assessments.
- Participate in client meetings, technical presentations, and proposal development.
- Assist with pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and commercial discussions.
- Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat and new business.
Quality, Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements. (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Implement QA/QC processes and monitor operational performance.
- Conduct operational audits and corrective actions.
- Promote and enforce workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Incident Management & Continuous Improvement
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational reliability, safety, and efficiency.
- Prepare management reports, dashboards, and operational reviews.
The Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Instrumentation, or Facilities Engineering or a related field.
- Min 10-15 years experience in system integration operations, automation, or infrastructure projects
- Minimum 10 years in leadership/operations management role.
- Demonstrable experience in systems integration / solution provision.
- Good understanding of BMS, EMS, PLC-based systems, and OT networks.
- Preferable Exposure to construction, commissioning, or data center build projects.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and vendors.
- Knowledge of data centre standards (Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ASHRAE).
- Experience with SCADA, DCIM, CMMS, and asset management systems.
- Ability to interpret control philosophies, single‑line diagrams, P&IDs, and construction drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting, risk management, and decision-making skills.
- Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
