Job summary

Randstad Malaysia seeks a senior logistics leader to own P&L and drive growth across multimodal freight forwarding. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage key accounts, and shape strategic market plans to expand the business footprint.

The role requires strong financial acumen, a track record of building high-performance teams, and a deep understanding of sea, air and land logistics. Based in Kuala Lumpur, on-site role.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in logistics (freight forwarding).
• 2–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Experience managing branch P&L, controlling costs, and achieving targets.
• Multimodal operations across sea, air and road.
• Strategic leadership with a track record of high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Full P&L ownership: drive revenue growth, gross profit targets and cost optimization to ensure branch profitability.
• Oversee end-to-end freight forwarding across sea, air and road to maintain service quality.
• Execute strategic market plans, expand market presence, manage key client accounts and negotiations.
• Recruit, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams across sales, operations and service.
• Improve workflows and manage carrier/vendor relationships ensuring compliance.

• Full P&L Ownership: Drive revenue growth, gross profit targets, budget allocation, and cost optimization initiatives to ensure total branch profitability.
• Multimodal Operations Management: Oversee end-to-end freight forwarding execution across sea, air, and road to maintain high service quality and efficiency.
• Commercial & Business Growth: Execute strategic market plans, expand market presence, and directly manage key client accounts and commercial negotiations.
• Leadership & Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams across sales, operations, and customer service to foster a high-performance culture.
• Process Optimization & Compliance: Enhance operational workflows, evaluate carrier and vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
