We are seeking a visionary, growth-oriented, and dynamic General Manager - Freight Forwarding to drive the expansion and operational excellence of our freight forwarding division across Malaysia. Historically, leadership for this division has been managed concurrently with other executive responsibilities. Due to substantial market demand and ambitious corporate expansion targets, our organization is now dedicated to establishing a dedicated 100% focused executive leader to spearhead the division’s next evolution.
In this mission-critical position, you will assume direct management over our four strategic logistics and forwarding hubs in Malaysia: Penang, Johor, Port Klang, and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). You will serve as the strategic mastermind responsible for setting regional business goals, refining operational workflows, elevating profit margins, and driving business development across both Air Freight and Ocean Freight sectors. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will bridge macro corporate strategy with daily execution, translating executive mandates into profitable, high-performing logistics operations.
As General Manager, your leadership footprint will encompass the direct supervision and professional development of 4 experienced Branch Managers, while providing high-level oversight to a broader management team of 10 to 12 mid-level professionals. You will foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration, continuous operational improvement, strict compliance with international trade customs regulations, and client-centric service delivery. This role demands a decisive, highly strategic, and commercially minded executive capable of navigating complex multi-location team dynamics while maintaining strict cost control, service level excellence, and revenue growth.
