Job summary

Hong Leong Bank in Malaysia is seeking a proactive Customer Service Officer to engage walk-in customers, process transactions, and discuss needs for cross-selling of banking products. The role emphasizes delivering high levels of customer service and accuracy in everyday banking duties.

You will handle deposits, withdrawals, remittances, and assist in promoting CASA, FD, credit cards, and digital banking initiatives while maintaining strict adherence to SOPs and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree or Diploma in a related field.
• Experience: Related working experience in a financial institution or related field.
• Customer interactions, cash handling, transaction processing and sales experience.
• Basic banking knowledge.
• High level of integrity and accountability.
• Excellent service mindset and communication skills with cross-selling ability.
• Professional appearance and courtesy.
• Licensing: FIMM / UT license; PCE & TBE license.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to walk-in customers and contribute to CSAT scores.
• Carry targets for products – CASA and FD growth and account opening; cross-sell PL, Credit Cards, Portfolio Sales and ASBF Funding.
• Learn and use I-Pads/other devices for customer service/cross selling.
• Perform Meeter-Greeter/Navigator roles on rotation; assist in calling customers for service/sales interactions.
• Support Digital Transformation initiatives including Connect Penetration and OTC Transaction migration.
• Process transactions accurately (deposits, withdrawals, remittances, etc.) and maintain SOP compliance.
• Be on standby for SST activities on weekends; perform relief CSOM/2nd liner functions as applicable.
• Maintain branch cash holding and end-of-day balancing; observe rotation guidelines.
• Represent HLB in community relationships and support Branch Manager/Customer Service and Operations Manager.
