Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B industrial sales, business development, engineering sales or project sales.
• Strong understanding of the Malaysian industrial market.
• Existing network with industrial end-users, EPC contractors, SIs or other industrial stakeholders is a strong advantage.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Industrial Safety, Marine, Fire Protection, Instrumentation, Industrial Equipment or EPC projects is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, business development and follow-up skills.
• Able to work independently in a start-up and market-development environment.
• Willing to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities in the Malaysian industrial safety and fire protection market.
• Build and maintain relationships with industrial end-users, EPC contractors, SIs, consultants, fire engineering contractors and distributors.
• Develop opportunities across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Semiconductor, Industrial Gas, Manufacturing, Utilities and other industrial sectors.
• Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, technical seminars and commercial negotiations.
• Identify and develop greenfield, expansion, upgrade, replacement and retrofit projects.
• Track opportunities from planning and design through tendering, vendor selection and order execution.
• Work with clients, consultants and EPC contractors to support the inclusion of EVOTECH products and solutions in project specifications.
• Prepare quotations, technical proposals and system solutions with internal technical teams.
• Maintain an accurate project pipeline and customer database.
• Develop and manage local partners including SIs, EPC contractors, instrumentation companies, fire engineering contractors, distributors and engineering consultancies.
• Identify suitable partners and establish cooperation models based on project opportunities and market coverage.
• Fire & Safety Business Development: Develop opportunities for gas detection, fire alarm, Fire & Gas and industrial fire protection solutions.
• Build relationships with fire engineering contractors and consultants, including support for BOMBA-related market activities with local consultants.
• Support product demonstrations, technical seminars and application development together with the China-based technical team.
• Promote applications involving FTIR, TDLAS, OGI and other gas detection technologies.
• Monitor competitors, pricing, customer requirements, certification requirements, project specifications, procurement practices and market opportunities.
• Prepare regular sales and market intelligence reports.
• Maintain CRM, customer and project records, sales forecasts and project pipelines.
• Follow up quotations, tenders, commercial negotiations, order execution, delivery and payment collection.
• Performance will be managed against annual targets agreed through a Target Responsibility Agreement.
