Job summary

Berjaya Corporation Berhad in Johor Bahru is seeking an EHS Manager / Fire Manager to lead environmental, health, safety, and fire protection programs within our automotive manufacturing operations. You will develop and maintain EHS systems, conduct risk assessments, ensure DOSH/OSHA and ISO compliance, manage fire protection, and drive training and continuous improvement.

The role requires 5–10 years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree, and strong leadership and communication skills,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in EHS, occupational safety, or fire safety.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety, fire protection, and environmental management.
• Familiar with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, DOSH/OSHA, and manufacturing safety requirements.
• SHO certification or relevant EHS/fire safety certifications is preferred.
• Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS management systems, safety programs, and fire protection initiatives.
• Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, safety audits, and incident investigations.
• Ensure compliance with DOSH/OSHA, environmental regulations, and company requirements.
• Manage fire protection systems, emergency response procedures, and regular fire drills.
• Develop and deliver EHS training and promote a strong safety culture across the organisation.
• Monitor environmental, health, and safety performance and drive corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen workplace safety and environmental performance.
• Liaise with government authorities, auditors, emergency services, and relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate EHS, fire safety, inspection, and compliance records.
