Job summary

Data Flows Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Business Development Consultant to support the director in nurturing sales leads, building client relationships, and growing accounts. You will translate client needs into software requirements, coordinate proposals, and drive opportunities through closing.

You will manage meetings, prepare quotations, track progress in the CRM, and work closely with founders and delivery teams to align scope, timelines, and expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in B2B sales, account management, or business development.
• Experience selling software, IT services or technology solutions preferred.
• Strong relationship-building, listening, presentation and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on leads and maintain regular, meaningful communication.
• Understand prospects’ processes and propose suitable software solutions.
• Manage opportunities from initial discussion through closing with founder support.
• Arrange and participate in client meetings, software demonstrations and discussions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and agreements with relevant teams.
• Maintain clear next steps and follow up to keep discussions moving.
• Build relationships with existing clients as the main commercial contact.
• Identify opportunities for projects, renewals, and account expansion.
• Coordinate with technical/delivery teams to confirm scope and timelines.
• Handover from sales to implementation and stay involved with the client relationship.
• Keep records of discussions, requirements, and sales activities in CRM.
• Provide weekly pipeline updates highlighting opportunities and decisions.
