Job summary

Reeracoen Recruitment in Malaysia seeks an experienced Assistant Logistics & Customs Manager to oversee import/export operations at two major hubs. You will lead freight forwarding activities, ensure compliance with RM Customs regulations, and mentor a cross-functional team across multiple sites.

The role requires KEK certification, familiarity with K1/K2/K8/K9 declaration forms, and a track record of improving process efficiency and KPI performance.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on freight forwarding operations experience.
• Deep knowledge of Malaysian customs procedures and KEK certification.
• Proficient with direct declaration submissions using K1, K2, K8, K9 forms.
• Strong leadership with experience supervising across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sea and air freight forwarding operations across two sites in Malaysia.
• Ensure accurate customs declarations using local systems (K1, K2, K8, K9).
• Lead and mentor staff; set KPIs and conduct performance reviews.
• Liaise with Royal Malaysian Customs Department, port authorities, and agencies to ensure compliance.
• Continuously improve SOPs to reduce transit times and demurrage charges.
• Collaborate with warehousing, account managers, carriers and clients to maintain service levels.
