Tallahesse Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Assistant Shipping Manager to join our dynamic Import/Export and Customs team. The Assistant shipping Manager will be responsible into a high-impact regional role leading end-to-end logistics and trade operations across global sourcing markets, including Europe, Singapore, China, and Hong Kong. Extensive experience in preparing and reviewing import & export shipping / trading documentations for all types of products via ocean / air / land freight.
Lead end-to-end import & export logistics operations (inbound, outbound, distribution) across regional markets, ensuring strong control over compliance, performance, and execution standards
Provide internal consultancy and guidance to internal teams on cross-border logistics and sourcing flows, ensuring alignment with defined processes and operational standards
Collaborate with local forwarders to facilitate smooth and efficient customs clearance procedures. Keep abreast of any changes in customs regulations and tariffs.
Monitor shipment status and resolve any logistical issues that may arise.
Coordinate with Inter-company's Export Sales team and other departments to ensure all oversea customer orders are executed and fulfilled in a timely manner.
Managing duties, taxes payable and duties exemption for export/ import items.
Develop/continually improve / producing new solution or standard operation working procedure.
Identify and mitigate potential risks in the logistics process, such as delays or damages, and implement appropriate solutions.
Ensure all relevant import/export documentation is accurate and up to date.
Ensure all products licensing is accurate and up to date.
To assist with admin and any ad-hoc tasks from Management as and when required.
Logistics Degree and minimum of 5 years of experience in importation (multi -country import/export) and logistics management
Extensive knowledge of import regulations, customs clearance procedures, and international shipping.
Strong negotiation and communication skills to liaise effectively with freight forwarders, suppliers, and clients.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in managing complex logistics processes.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
A proactive and adaptable approach to handle changing logistics demands.
Able to commence work immediately or with short notice.
Full-time position(s) available
5 working days a week, if shipment arrived on weekend must follow up from home.
