Job summary

Menicon Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a maintenance technician to support production equipment in lens manufacturing lines. You will carry out routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure operational efficiency, perform equipment service, and document maintenance activities.

You will assist engineers with equipment installations and participate in OEE improvement projects while adhering to 5S, GMP, and safety protocols. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in engineering with minimum 3 years of experience.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide line support for equipment setup, recovery and corrective maintenance.
• Perform routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) and complete e-checklist documentation.
• Service parts, assemblies and swap kits; track spare parts usage.
• Assist with equipment installation, product-system qualification and OEE improvements.
• Collaborate to maximise tool availability and process yield.
• Adhere to 5S, GMP and safety protocols; perform other duties as assigned.

Responsible to carry out routine maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment to ensure the operational efficiency of lens manufacturing lines.

Job Responsibilities

Provide line support for equipment setup, recovery & corrective maintenance to meet KPIs defined in respective functional area.

Perform routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) and complete documentation as required (e-checklist).

Perform service of parts, assemblies and swap kits.

Tracks spare parts & consumables usage to ensure availability for production usage.

Assist Engineer on equipment installation, product-system qualification, equipment troubleshooting & projects in any area of overall equipment efficiency (OEE) improvements.

Work as a team member of an integrated team to maximize tool availability and process yield.

Ensure 5S, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety & health protocols compliances.

Perform any other related duties as assigned by immediate superior.

Qualifications

Education level : Diploma in Engineering or Certificate in Engineering with minimum 3 years working experience. Preferably Mechanical/Mechatronic, Electrical & Electronics candidates.

Year of Experience : Minimum 1 year of working experience in related fields. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Capability : Well versed in analytical, problem solving and good communication skills. The ability to learn fast and to be able to work within a team.

Skills : Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Basic knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel application.

Language : English & Malay is a must, Japanese will be an added advantage.
