Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and maintain production equipment including auto packaging machines, laser welders, pneumatic tools, vision systems, and PC-based systems. You will respond to breakdowns, perform corrective maintenance, track downtime, and support production targets with reliable equipment.

You will manage preventive maintenance, calibration schedules, and spare parts, ensuring audit-ready records and compliance with quality and safety standards

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of equipment maintenance or production support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic understanding of PLC, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics and maintenance procedures.
• Familiar with preventive maintenance and calibration.
• Independent worker with good communication and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment including packaging machines, laser welders, and vision systems.

Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment including auto packaging machines, laser welders, pneumatic crimpers, vision systems, and PC-based integrated systems. Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance to support production targets.

Track downtime, analyze equipment performance, and implement improvements to increase machine uptime.

Perform and manage preventive maintenance (PM), work orders, and equipment maintenance records.

Manage calibration schedules and spare parts inventory to ensure equipment readiness.

Support engineering activities including equipment validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain accurate logbooks and maintenance documentation to ensure audit readiness.

Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements, achieving 100% audit compliance and zero non-conformances (NCs).

Liaise with production, engineering, quality teams, and external vendors on equipment-related matters.

Requirement :

• Diploma in Electrical & Electronic / Mechatronic / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance or manufacturing support environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of PLC, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and equipment calibration.
• Able to work independently and support production during machine downtime.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
