Mutiara Security Services Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Business Development Manager to supervise the BD team, oversee the sales pipeline, and coordinate client acquisition, proposals and tenders. The role supports management in achieving revenue objectives and drives opportunities from lead generation to contract closure.

The candidate should have a Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or related field, with 3–5 years in BD or Sales, and strong leadership,

Job description

The Assistant Business Development Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Business Development team, monitoring team performance and ensuring business opportunities are effectively followed through. The role will guide BD team members, oversee the sales pipeline, coordinate client acquisition activities, proposals and tenders, and support Management in achieving the company's business development and revenue objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Business Development team.
• Monitor team performance, KPIs, leads and sales pipeline.
• Ensure timely follow-up on prospective clients and business opportunities.
• Guide BD team members in client engagement, presentations and negotiations.
• Coordinate and monitor proposals, quotations and tender submissions.
• Track business opportunities from lead generation until contract closing.
• Support important client meetings, presentations and commercial discussions.
• Monitor progress towards assigned business development and revenue targets.
• Coordinate with internal departments on new client and project requirements.
• Identify potential new clients, markets and business opportunities.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales or a related field.
• Experience in supervising or leading a Business Development or Sales team is preferred.
• Good understanding of sales pipelines, client acquisition and business development processes.
• Experience in preparing proposals, quotations and tenders is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Able to monitor team performance and ensure targets are followed up effectively.
• Results-driven, organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
