Job summary

DETEC SECURITY SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated Marketing Assistant to support our marketing team in Tampoi, Johor. You will help plan and execute campaigns, build brand awareness, and engage with clients in the security services sector.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in marketing, sales, business development, or a similar role.
• Experience in security services, manpower services, facilities management or B2B marketing is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Possess own transport and a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for security services.
• Conduct market research to identify potential clients, companies and business opportunities.
• Contact, approach and follow up with prospective clients through calls, emails, WhatsApp and other communication channels.
• Arrange and attend client meetings, site visits and presentations when required.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, RFQs and tender documents.
• Maintain and update the company’s customer and prospect database.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Follow up on leads and monitor the progress of sales opportunities from initial contact to closing.
• Assist in developing marketing materials, company presentations and promotional content.
• Manage and update social media platforms and assist with basic digital marketing activities.
• Coordinate with the Operations and Management teams to ensure accurate information is provided to clients.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and potential business opportunities within the security services industry.
• Prepare regular reports on marketing activities, leads, client follow-ups and business development progress.
• Assist in achieving the company’s marketing and business development targets.
• Perform other marketing and business development duties as assigned by Management.

What we’re looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

1–3 years of experience in marketing, sales, business development, or a similar role.

Experience in security services, manpower services, facilities management or B2B marketing is an advantage.

Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Confident in approaching and developing relationships with potential clients.

Experience in B2B sales, client acquisition and business development is preferred.

Able to arrange client meetings, conduct site visits and follow up with prospective clients.

Familiar with preparing quotations, proposals, presentations and RFQ/tender documents.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); knowledge of Canva is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of social media and digital marketing is an added advantage.

Proactive, organised, target-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken.

Possess own transport and a valid driving licence.

Willing to travel for client meetings, site visits and business development activities when required.
