Job summary

PORTEVER SHIPPING SDN. BHD. is seeking a finance/cashier professional in Klang to manage daily cash flow, bank transactions, and multi-currency settlements. You will work with the finance team on reconciliations, e-Invoice submissions, and documentation for month-end close.

The role requires Mandarin and English fluency, accuracy in data handling, and experience with ERP systems. Freight/logistics familiarity is preferred, with independence in daily finance tasks.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Excel (data entry, formulas, filtering).
• Fluent in Mandarin and English for client communication.
• Experience in finance/cashier roles; freight/logistics exposure preferred.
• Knowledge of Malaysian financial procedures and basic tax regulation a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Able to handle daily finance tasks independently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily cash and bank receipts/payments (including freight, customs duties, handling charges).
• Maintain cash and bank journals; manage multi-currency accounts and FX settlements.
• Assist in issuing and submitting Malaysian e-Invoices (e-Invoice), including MyInvois and Self-billed operations.
• Coordinate with finance team on customer/vendor reconciliations and document verification.
• Organize and archive invoices, bank statements, and other documents; support month-end closing and audit tasks.

Job Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in finance/cashier roles (experience in international freight/logistics is preferred)

Familiar with Malaysian financial procedures and basic tax regulations; knowledge of e-Invoice is a plus

Proficient in Excel (data entry, formulas, filtering, etc.); experience with ERP systems is preferred

Fluent in both Mandarin and English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
