Job summary

Private Advertiser in Johor, Malaysia seeks an experienced finance professional to oversee day-to-day financial operations, budgeting, and reporting from its Tangkak-based office.

You will lead revenue analysis, cash flow planning, and risk management, while coordinating with external providers and driving process improvements to support management decisions. The ideal candidate has 10+ years' experience and excels in MS Excel and English communication.

Qualifications

• Must be a member of MIA and ACCA preferred.
• Strong MS Excel skills and experience with Million Software.
• Excellent English communication and ability to work under pressure.
• 10+ years of working experience in accounting/finance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day financial operations, including invoicing and payments.
• Prepare monthly management and consolidated reports.
• Provide revenue and trend analyses to support management decisions.
• Prepare weekly cash flow, collections and debtors aging.
• Manage external service providers for tax, audits, banking, and corporate matters.
• Prepare budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures.
• Review costing reports and assist in overseas costing matters.
• Develop strategies to minimize financial risk.
• Review finance procedures and identify improvements.
• Provide insights on spending trends and cost-saving opportunities.

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the Company, such as invoicing and payment.
• Prepare monthly management reports and consolidated reports on a timely manner.
• Provide revenue analysis, trend analysis and other ad hoc reports to support management on potential opportunities and manage risk decision.
• Prepare consolidated cash flow, collection and debtors aging for weekly reporting.
• Manage external service providers in tax filing, audit, banking matters, company secretarial and commercial/legal matters.
• Prepare budget and provide monthly rolling forecast reports to Management.
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures.
• Review costing report and to assist in oversea companies costing matters.
• Developing strategies that work to minimize financial risk.
• Implement a review of existing Finance/Accounting procedures, processes and controls to identify improvements that can be implemented.
• Provide insight on spending trends and cost-savings initiatives and margin opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 10 years of working experience and a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), preferably ACCA.
• Excellent skills in MS Excel and experience in Million Software accounting system will be an advantage.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Attentive to details, organized and ability to work independently under pressure and enjoy improvement assignments of business process/system.
• An assertive leader with good team player mind-set.
• Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• As this position is based in Tangkak, Johor, candidates who are from Tangkak or nearby area would be an added advantage.
