Tentacle Tech in Malaysia is seeking an Application Support Engineer to keep finance apps reliable in a banking environment. You’ll support ERP, AR/AP, invoicing, GL and CRM, coordinate incidents, and assist with deployments on a on-site contract basis.

The role emphasizes hands-on finance systems experience, strong SQL skills, and collaboration with IT and vendors to resolve issues and implement permanent fixes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in application support, production support or enterprise systems support.
• Hands-on experience supporting finance applications, particularly ERP, AR/AP, invoicing or GL systems.
• Strong SQL, log analysis and troubleshooting skills, with experience in incident and problem management.
• Experience with SIT/UAT, change management, release and deployment activities.
• Advantageous: exposure to banking or financial services, CRM, APIs, Linux/Unix or Windows Server, scripting, ITSM/ITIL.

Responsabilités

• Monitor application availability, scheduled jobs, batch processes and system interfaces.
• Investigate and resolve incidents using SQL queries, log analysis and troubleshooting within agreed service levels.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and coordinate permanent fixes with development teams and vendors.
• Prepare and execute SIT, support UAT, and support deployments, production releases and post-deployment validation.
• Maintain application configurations, technical documentation and support procedures, and support DR exercises, audits and compliance activities.
• Provide after-hours support for critical incidents and scheduled releases when required.

Application Support Engineer (Finance, ERP, and CRM applications)

The Role

As an Application Support Engineer, you will be the go-to person for keeping critical finance applications reliable and available within a banking environment in the finance sector. You will provide technical and functional support across ERP, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), invoicing, General Ledger (GL) and CRM systems, working closely with finance users, internal IT teams and vendors to resolve production issues and support system changes. This is an onsite contract opportunity to build deep, hands-on expertise in enterprise finance systems.

What We're Looking For
