Job summary

Tentacle Tech is seeking a seasoned Software Developer to join a strong team delivering critical digital banking services in Malaysia. You will build from UI to database, provide technical leadership, and mentor juniors in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 3-month onsite contract for a senior engineer with DevOps focus.

Required: 10–12 years’ enterprise development, Java/J2EE, Spring, microservices, Kubernetes, and CI/CD experience; strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related discipline, with relevant certification.
• 10 to 12 years of enterprise software development experience, including digital or consumer banking solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, microservices, Kafka, Redis, Flyway, RESTful APIs, SOAP, JSON and XML.
• Strong DevOps and CI/CD toolchain experience, Agile project exposure, and solid RDBMS knowledge (PostgreSQL).
• Experience with automated testing tools such as JMeter or TOSCA; Kubernetes, full stack and web or mobile front-end knowledge are an added advantage.
• Self-starter with strong communication and teamwork skills, able to juggle multiple tasks in a rapid application development environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable, robust services from user interface to database backend as part of a strong development team.
• Provide technical leadership for design, implementation and quality releases, while mentoring and guiding junior developers.
• Embrace DevOps culture and implement automation for applications.
• Coordinate end-to-end solution testing including SIT, regression, UAT, VAPT and performance testing, closing all high-severity issues before production deployment.
• Propose improvements to the deployment architecture to boost performance, scalability and manageability.
• Ensure development adheres to established SDLC methodology, architecture standards, IT governance, information security and regulatory requirements, and provide timely progress reports to stakeholders.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer / Software Programmer to join a strong development team working on critical digital services in the banking and financial services sector. You'll build reliable solutions from the user interface through to the database backend, provide technical leadership, and guide junior developers while championing a DevOps culture. This is a 3-month onsite contract , ideal for a seasoned engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What We're Looking For
