Job summary

Tentacle Tech is hiring two Java / Full Stack Developers for a 12-month onsite contract in the finance sector. You will design, develop and maintain scalable Java applications, contribute to solution design and drive engineering best practices across the team.

We welcome both local and expat candidates. You will mentor juniors, participate in code reviews, and help ensure performance, security and reliability across deployment environments.

Qualifications

• :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• :
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Spring Boot experience, with strong proficiency in Java 8+ and the Spring Framework.
• :
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• :
• Familiarity with JPA/Hibernate and relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• :
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and tools such as Git, Maven/Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• :
• Strong grasp of secure coding and application security principles (OWASP).
• :
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy high-quality Java applications and microservices.
• Write clean, maintainable and efficient code following best practices, and enhance existing systems by resolving defects.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and solution architecture, focusing on scalability, performance, security and maintainability.
• Produce design documents, sequence diagrams and API specifications when required.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, implement automated tests and support deployments across environments.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews and collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA and DevOps teams.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis and optimise application performance and reliability.

The Role

Are you a hands-on Spring Boot engineer who enjoys building enterprise-grade applications and helping others grow? We are hiring two Java / Full Stack Developers for a 12-month onsite contract within the finance sector. What We're Looking For
