Tentacle Tech, a Malaysia-based IT and software development consulting company, seeks a Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain Java applications for a finance-sector project. You will work with IT managers and project teams to convert business requirements into reliable software.

Responsibilities include coding, testing, troubleshooting, and participating in design reviews, with opportunities for growth, training, and mentorship within a supportive team.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, software engineering, or related field; Master’s is a plus.
• Strong hands-on Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Java EE experience.
• Experience with Microservices, RESTful APIs, Web Services, and JSON.
• Working knowledge of MongoDB, Oracle DB and MS SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum is beneficial; relevant certifications are a bonus.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with IT managers and stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate to technical specs.
• Design, code, and enhance Java applications following coding standards and best practices.
• Prepare and execute unit and integration tests, fix defects, and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot application issues and deliver timely fixes with QA and operations teams.
• Assist with estimation, project schedules, and prioritization.
• Maintain technical documentation and share knowledge with your team.
• Identify and implement improvements in performance, scalability, and code quality.

The Role:

As a Java Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications for a project in the finance sector. Working closely with IT managers and project teams, you will turn business requirements into reliable, high-quality software that meets project objectives.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with IT managers and stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's is a plus)
• Strong hands‑on skills in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Java EE
• Experience with Microservices Architecture, RESTful APIs, Web Services, and JSON
• Working knowledge of MongoDB, Oracle DB, and Microsoft SQL Server
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum is an advantage
• Relevant certifications (e.g. OCP, Spring Professional, AWS or Azure Developer, CSD) are a bonus
